Today we are highlighting the cozy crochet and knit bracelets and boot cuffs in our Handmade Market. They are beautifully crafted by local artist Jenn Lewis.
Jenn serves on the board for WOW (Women for Oppressed Women), an organization run through The Chapel. The group strives to meet the needs of women both locally and around the world who are oppressed emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
Recently, board members were given $12 and challenged to use their talents and gifts to multiply it. Jenn has put her talent at knitting to great use making fun wrap bracelets and boot cuffs. They are available in our Handmade Market. Pop in and pick up a lovely gift that gives back this holiday season.
We love hearing stories from Jenn’s visit to Mozambique and the work WOW is doing in the Akron/Canton area. Follow WOW on Facebook to get a peek at their past accomplishments and upcoming events.
What are Gifts that Give Back?
We have selected 4 organizations to assist with fundraising this season by selling their products in our shop. Look for the Gifts that Give Back signs and read about them here: Hartville Lions Club brooms, Misericordia cookbooks, and Lake Township Historical Society books.
For more information about our other fundraising program, visit the Cause for Consignment section of our website.
