When I need a recipe that is a never fail I always turn back to our family’s tried and true church cookbook. This book has been in our house for as long as I can remember. You know when someone has submitted a recipe to a cookbook it’s going to be their best and these ladies do not disappoint.

As many of you know my cousin Charles lives at a home called Misericordia in Chicago. We are always looking for ways to support the great programs and care he has received over the years. A family member of one of the other residents put together a cookbook this fall.  We jumped on the chance to submit a few recipes and now that the books are in, we are happy to sell them at BBT!

I’m excited to add this cookbook to my collection of go to recipes and even more excited that my purchase supports Misericordia’s mission of supporting individuals with developmental disabilities. For more information about Misericordia visit their website here and if you find yourself in the Chicago area be sure to make time for lunch at the Greenhouse Inn, a restaurant run by the residents.
