We were so excited that this month’s trip to Chicago coincided with the Renegade Craft Fair.

Renegade Craft Fair Chicago 2012
We spent a leisurely morning browsing, munching on yummy treats, and people watching.  We even saw a man walking around with a parrot on his shoulder!

People watching, shoe making hands-on demonstrations, and very fun octopus balloon animals

As many of you know, when we reopen we plan on expanding our selection of handmade items (Submission form here).

This weekend was an awesome opportunity to scope out some fantastic artists and very unique products.

Because this was Renegade’s 10th anniversary, The Vintage Bazaar also set up a pop-up market within the fair.

Love love love Hot House Market!

Pretty displays from the Savoy Flea- Curtains on the booth were such a lovely touch.

The Renegade Craft Fair was held in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood, an area of the city we have yet to explore.  There were so many interesting looking shops and restaurants.  We can’t wait to go back.

Yes that is a cake!

And a visit to Wicker Park isn’t complete without a stop at Black Dog Gelato.  The apple cider gelato was super delicious!
