In place of rice, birdseed, bubbles, etc, Emily made flags for guests to wave as she and Matt left the church. And in keeping with the bell theme, the groomsmen got to make some noise with cowbells (purchased at Tractor Supply).
To make the send off flags we used scraps left over from the table bunting and from the bridesmaid dresses. We cut out various shapes with pinking sheers.
To attach the fabric to wooden skewers we first ran a thin layer of glue on the edge.
Then we rolled the fabric around the skewer once.
From there we added a bead of hot glue and quickly rolled the fabric around again.
