From personal experience, questions from ladies in the shop, and watching what people are wearing, figuring out what necklace to wear is tricky. We selected 4 of the most commonly worn necklines and will be exploring more over the next few weeks! So today we start with Crew, Turtleneck, V-Neck, and Square.
Crew necks look great with bib necklaces. Find one that matches the cut of your top. Or try a longer multi strand necklace.
I see more and more people wearing turtlenecks. Lengthen the look with a long single stranded necklace.
V-necks are my favorite cut to wear as my style leans toward structured and geometric. Bonus- they are slimming! Try a necklace with angles that either hits within the V or mimics it in a tasseled long strand.
Our final neckline for the day is square. We have a few tops in the store with this neckline but also find that is a shape that is created when wearing a straight cami with an open cardigan. I think short necklaces look better than long ones with this cut. Go for a simple small pendant with angles.
Remember, necklaces should sit at least 1-2 fingers above or below the neckline of your shirt. Otherwise they will get tangled in the fabric and fall under your shirt. Be sure to check out our new necklace board on Pinterest for more ideas!
