The four necklines we chose this week all work well with simple necklaces.
Draped necklines are called cowl necks. They can be a simple scoop, a plunging drape or a wide turtleneck. Look for curvy necklaces that match the shape of the drape- long with long, short with short. If the drape is minimal you can wear a long necklace without flattening it (see second photo below). This doesn’t work with fuller cowls. The necklace will get lost in all the fabric. Cowl neck sweaters look pretty with long necklaces tucked under the cowl.
One Shoulder dresses and tops typically look best without necklaces. But, they look great with large earrings!
Keep your necklace above the fabric for straight strapless necklines. A simple pendant will work or fill it with a statement piece.
A sweetheart neckline is often found on dresses. Look for curvy necklaces to mimic the heart shape.
